Example of shootout

Flights for Sunday, June 28, 2026

Championship Flight 71 and below ( 2 day running total)

1st Flight   72-76  1st flight ( no shootout)  All start Sunday at 72

2nd Flight 77-80    2nd flight ( shootout drawn Sunday)   All start Sunday at 77

3rd Flight 81-87     3rd flight  ( shootout drawn Sunday)  All start Sunday at 81

4th Flight 88-above     4th flight  ( shootout drawn Sunday)  All start Sunday at 88

Shootout example.

Player A shoots 87 on Saturday and player A is in the third flight for Sundays round in the above flight breakdown with all players who shot 81-87.    Player A starts Sunday round even will all players at 81.   Player A shoots 75 on Sunday.   The Sunday shootout number is drawn after the last scorecard is posted in the flight.   A  five is drawn which means 5 is the most a player in the 3rd flight can improve which would be 76.  The shootout is based on the startout of the flight not the actual score of anyone in the 3rd flight who may have shot 81-87.   Any player in the flight who shoots  75 or lower would shoot up in the the 2nd flight.     Player A takes his startout of 81 + 75 into the 2nd flight.   In our today digital scoring for Sunday player A takes the startout of the 3rd flight 81.  Player A is added 4 shots to their score of 75+4=79 into the 2nd flight.   In the paper scorecard days it would be 81+75=156 into the 2nd flight.  4 shots is the difference in start of 2nd and 3rd flights.
